Maggie's dad lost his job and the family just lost their house. With no resources they didn't feel that they could take care of her so they contacted Lab Rescue. It just about broke her dad's heart to give her up since he had rescued her from her first owner who had chained her outside to a dog house. Maggie's a "leaner" who adores having her head rubbed and it's not hard to do since she's so darn tall - no need to bend over, just drop your hand and there's her head! She's a smart girl who loves her tennis ball...and I do mean LOVES her tennis ball. While her ball drive can be loads of fun, she can grab the ball a little aggressively so it's probably best if Maggie doesn't go to a home with very small children. She's adjusting to her foster home well - good with other dogs and kids and she tolerates cats (the same cannot be said for her feline foster brother Finn who launched himself at her the first time they met - to her credit Maggie showed amazing restraint!) She walks well on a leash and behaves when left alone in the house. She's a sweet 4 year old girl with a shiny coat and an eager to please disposition. Fostered with Julia in the Tampa Bay area.
