Hamilton Pocket Watch-(Movement Serial # 922,611-Circa 1912)
This antique Hamilton Pocket Watch, manufactured in Lancaster, PA around 1912, is 18 size, open face, stem wind, lever set, with 17 jewel movement. The Dial is white, porcelain with Arabic Numerals and spade hands. The Case is swing out and gold filled and features a beautiful ornamental engraved design on the back and attached chain. THE INSIDE REAR IS MARKED WITH THE NUMBER 6365257.
This nearly one century old watch is running/ticking and still keeps time very well, however, it occasionally stops during the day. I'm not sure if this is because I haven't wound it enough times? Anyway, when this happens, the stem can be wound a couple of times and it always starts running/ticking again. The dial has a minor hairline between the 2 and 3 position. There is some wear on the dial edge between the 1 and 2 position. Other than these minor details, the dial, movement as well as the case and chain are in excellent condition. (As a bonus, the watch will come with an attractive brown leather carrying case-not believed to be original to the watch.)
OVERALL, THIS HANDSOME ANTIQUE POCKET WATCH HAS BEEN WELL PRESERVED AND IS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE! HAMILTON IS CONSIDERED ONE OF THE FINEST OF THE EARLY AMERICAN WATCHMAKERS AND THIS IS DEFINITELY A QUALITY EXAMPLE OF THEIR WORK!
I'M ASKING $350 OR BEST OFFER. I'M LOCATED IN ORLANDO.
